Pool Decks and Outdoor Living in Montgomery, TX.

Pool decks, patios and full outdoor living spaces, including structures several stories tall, designed around the pool and built for how you spend time outside.

Beyond The Water

Pool decks are where most of the living happens.

People spend more time on pool decks than in the pool itself: grilling, watching kids swim, sitting in the shade after work. Sunlife Pools describes itself as a builder of swimming pools and full outdoor living spaces, and owner William Steadham treats the deck, patio and surrounding structures as part of the same design rather than an afterthought.

That can mean a new deck around an existing pool in Montgomery, a patio and outdoor kitchen area off the back of a Conroe home, or a larger multi-level outdoor living space on a lake lot. Every customer is different, and the design is free.

Planning Your Outdoor Space

Questions worth answering before anything is poured.

Flow

How will you move through it?

Where you step out of the house, where the grill goes, where people sit and where wet feet will walk all shape the layout of pool decks and patios.

Shade and Sun

Where do you want to be at five o'clock?

Texas afternoons are hot. Covered areas, open lounging space and the direction the house faces all get considered in the design.

Water

Where does the rain go?

Grade and drainage matter around a pool. One reviewer noted that William identified the grade and drainage problems on his property; the same attention goes into every deck.

What Can Be Built

Outdoor living, start to finish.

  • Pool decks around new or existing pools
  • Decks and patios that connect the house to the pool
  • Concrete and epoxy floors for patios and covered areas
  • Outdoor living spaces, including multi-level structures several stories tall
  • Home additions and ADUs
  • Plumbing and electrical work that outdoor spaces often need

Adding a deck is often part of a larger plan. Pair it with new pool construction and the whole backyard gets designed at once, or combine it with pool remodeling so the new coping and the new deck match. Curious how scope affects the investment?
